ABC with front man Martin Fry, charted ten U.K. and five U.S. Top 40 singles between 1981 and 1990. The first single, "Tears Are Not Enough," made the U.K. Top 20 in 1981. The band had three Top 10 hits during 1982: "Poison Arrow," "The Look of Love (Part One)" and "All of My Heart." In 1987, they released the Top 10 hit "When Smokey Sings."
The Romantics are a rock band from Detroit. They achieved popularity during the first half of the 1980s on the strength of the band's catchy, energetic songs and stylish, memorable music videos, including the hit single "What I Like About You," from the band’s self-titled debut album.
Missing Persons was founded in 1980 in Los Angeles and is led by vocalist Dale Bozzio. Her quirky voice made the band a favorite on MTV and radio with the singles "Destination Unknown," "Words" and "Walking in L.A."
As well-known for their bizarrely teased haircuts as their hit single "I Ran (So Far Away)," A Flock of Seagulls was one of the infamous bands of the New Wave era. The group benefited considerably from MTV's heavy rotation of the I Ran video in the summer of 1982.
Naked Eyes is best known for its singles, a cover of the Burt Bacharach-Hal David standard "(There’s) Always Something There To Remind Me" (Bacharach himself has cited this as a personal favorite), and its subsequent hit "Promises, Promises."
The Regeneration Tour is all your ‘80s hits live and in person.
