Tennis anyone?
Article published on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008
Editor:
I dread the weekend. My husband is home from work (relaxing?) and so is the screamer.

The screamer’s playing tennis . . . or at least he thinks he’s in the game.

Every missed volley warrants a screech and a string of expletives stitched together in a manner I’ve never heard. Should it be an embarrassingly easy return that’s missed, a tantrum, cries of “oh no!” followed by the aforementioned ode in blue and the clattering of flung racket are warranted.

Parents bring their children to the park . . . and leave.

Parents bring their children to play tennis and leave.

The screamer is only interested in his own.

Game?

People don’t speak up.

I am.
