Salvation Army accepting applications for Christmas help

ST. PETERSBURG -The Salvation Army is currently accepting applications for Christmas assistance through Nov. 2, 2007, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m., at the Salvation Army Corps, 1400 4th St. S., St. Petersburg.
Each family's head of household must bring:
- Photo identification,
- Social Security cards for each family member,
- Proof of south Pinellas County address and
- Proof of income.
The Salvation Army South Pinellas County Area Command will collect Christmas gifts for children up to 14 years of age and senior citizens, ages 60 and older.
Anyone wishing to adopt a family will receive information on each family member, such as name, age, clothing and shoe sizes and dream gift. All gifts are to be distributed Dec. 20 and 21.
