Redington Shores combines boards
REDINGTON SHORES – The Town Commission has decided to take the advice of a consultant and the Pinellas Planning Council and combine the town’s Planning and Zoning Board and Board of Adjustments. The combined committee, to be called the Planning and Zoning Board, will have five members and two alternates. Each of the four districts will have a member and there will be one at-large member.

Full length of Redington Long Pier open
REDINGTON SHORES – The entire stretch of the Redington Long Pier is open again. For more than 15 months, much of the pier was closed due to storm damage. Hours are Sunday through Thursday 6 a.m. to midnight and Friday through Saturday all day and night.

Treasure Island Art Guild show scheduled
TREASURE ISLAND – Enter a painting in the Treasure Island Art Guilds November show. The guild has $400 in prizes to be awarded to the winners. The entry fee is $10 members and $20 for nonmembers. Membership is $25. The guild has nine shows yearly, three of which are money prize shows. The entry date is Thursday, Nov. 1, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., at the Treasure Island City Hall, 120 108th Ave. There will be a reception for the winners Saturday, Nov. 10, 1 p.m., at City Hall. The guild will have a demonstration by Hal Hussung. Refreshments will be served. Call 360-8390.
