Citizens recognized for heroic actions

INDIAN ROCKS BEACH – At its June 16 meeting, the Pinellas Suncoast Fire and Rescue Board of Fire Commissioners awarded three citizens with commendations for their heroic actions on June 4.
While at My Place restaurant, Larry Bruno, Jason McGarry and Kenny Strebler administered cardio pulmonary resuscitation to a 70-year-old gentleman who had gone into cardiac arrest.
They were able to revive the patient and were instrumental in saving his life.
Upon transport to the hospital, the patient was alert and speaking with emergency personnel.
