CLEARWATER - The city of Clearwater's Planning Department scheduled a public meeting for Wednesday, Feb. 13, 6 p.m., at Clearwater Beach Recreation Complex, 69 Bay Esplanade.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss a proposed increase to the maximum allowable density for hotel uses, or overnight accommodations, on Clearwater Beach.

The proposed increase will be presented to and discussed with the City Council in March. The city would like to bring the public's feedback to the discussion with the City Council.

"We're working with the community to obtain input from local businesses and residents about possible increases to allowable density for overnight accommodations on Clearwater Beach," said Michael Delk, Planning Director. "Anyone who is interested is encouraged to attend."

For more information, call the city's Planning Department at 562-4567.
