Man arrested for sexual battery

CLEARWATER – A transient on Oct. 26 was arrested in Pennsylvania on capital sexual battery involving a local girl.
David Trepanosky, 28, was arrested in New Castle, Pa. on an unrelated charge. Pinellas County authorities issued a warrant the same day.
The Clearwater incident occurred last May or June in a home located in an unincorporated area of Clearwater.
The attack, deputies said, occurred while the suspect was babysitting the 9-year-old Palm Harbor girl while her mother was at work.
Deputies developed information that the suspect had been frequenting a homeless shelter in New Castle. Detectives there arrested Trepanosky who allegedly admitted to his involvement in the sexual battery.
