LARGO – Everest University, formerly Florida Metropolitan University, moved its Pinellas County campus to 1199 E. Bay Drive.

The school was formerly located at 2471 McMullen Booth Road in Safety Harbor.

The new 40,000-square-foot location provides more parking and greater accessibility to public transportation.

“This move is part of our growth strategy to allow us to offer more programs and services to higher education students in Pinellas County,” said John Buck, campus president.

“As with our name change to Everest University from FMU, we’re planning for a robust future for both Everest and our students,” said Jan Schoonmaker, Everest University (Florida) president and COO. “The growth strategy for the Pinellas campus is part of those overall plans.”

The Pinellas County campus will continue to offer programs and degrees in accounting, management, business, computer information science, criminal justice, health care administration, massage therapy, medical assisting and insurance billing and coding.
