LARGO – The qualifying period for the Nov. 3 election began June 15, and ends Thursday, Aug. 13.
Individuals who have opened campaign accounts and picked up petition cards are Mayor Pat Gerard; Curtis Holmes and Commissioner Rodney Woods, Seat 3; Commissioner Gigi Arntzen and John Mandujano, Seat 4.
Gerard was elected to the commission in 2000 and served two three-year terms. She was elected mayor in 2006. She is chief operating officer of Family Resources Inc.
Curtis Holmes is a licensed insurance agent. Woods was elected to the commission in 2006. He is owner of RJ Woods Scapes, pest control and landscaping consulting.
Gigi Arntzen was elected to the commission in 2006. She retired from Pinellas County government following a 30-year career in secretarial and administrative positions. Mandujano works as a systems analyst at University Community Hospital.
