LARGO – A Largo man was indicted on one count each of possession and receiving child pornography.
Scott Wiegand, 43, faces up to 20 years in jail and a $250,000 fine.
U.S. Attorney Robert E. O’Neill said from an unknown date and continuing through to Feb. 27, 2007 Wiegand possessed and received numerous items that contained visual images of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
The case was investigated by the FBI’s Innocent Images Task Force in cooperation with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and will be prosecuted by assistant U.S. Attorney Amanda Riedel.
