PINELLAS PARK – The Radisson Hotel and Conference Center, a major drawing card in the business and industrial area, soon will be adding more than 80 rooms and may undergo a name change.
Located at 12600 Roosevelt Blvd., the Radisson was constructed about seven years ago as a high-end business and family recreation facility.
Housh Ghovaee, president of the board of directors of the Pinellas Park/Gateway Chamber of Commerce, said the Radisson most likely will change its name. He and Radisson officials, however, could not disclose the new name due to legal reasons.
Chris Ardolino, general manager, said the Radisson has become a popular stopping-off place due to its proximity to area beaches and other recreation facilities. It also is located in the center of Pinellas County’s thriving business and industrial complexes that use the facility for training sessions, conferences and other events.
The hotel, Ardolino said, is considered to be a leader in guest services.
The expansion to a total of 286 rooms also will include new banquet facilities and other amenities.
