Seminole man arrested for sexual battery
SEMINOLE – Pinellas County Sheriff’s detectives arrested a man for capital sexual battery to a child under 12. The crime occurred about 6 p.m. June 19 at a private residence in Seminole.

According to detectives, the victim's mother exited a bedroom of the private residence and entered the living room area where she witnessed what she believed to be inappropriate touching by the suspect to her seven year old daughter. She privately asked her daughter about the matter. The victim told her that she had been inappropriately touched and that the suspect had done the same on other occasions over the past year and a half.

The mother contacted the Sheriff's Office to report the crime. Pablo Ortiz Sanchez, 31, of Seminole was interviewed at the Sheriff's Administrative Building in Largo and was subsequently arrested for capital sexual battery to a child under 12 and for an unrelated no valid driver's license.

St. Petersburg man arrested for robbery of Seminole bank
ST. PETERSBURG – Pinellas County detectives arrested a St. Petersburg man on June 17 in connection with a Seminole bank robbery. According to the Sheriff’s Office report, the robbery occurred at about 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 05, 2007 at the Bardmoor branch of Wachovia Bank located at 8700 Bryan-Dairy Road in Seminole.

Detectives say they identified the suspect through tips generated as a result of surveillance video and photographs that appeared on local television news broadcasts and in local newspapers. The suspect, Charles Jardine, 44, was arrested on one count of armed robbery at a construction site in the 5200 block of 58th St. N. in St. Petersburg at about 2:30 p.m. on June 17.
